1. Background and Introduction 

The Kenya Episcopal Conference (KEC), a Faith Based Organization, is the assembly of the Catholic Bishops in Kenya united and exercising together their pastoral offices over Christ’s faithful.

The Catholic Secretariat is the Administrative Centre through which the KEC implements & co-ordinates various pastoral programs (under different commissions) and undertakes all those responsibilities which express the mission of the Catholic Church in Kenya.
